Last Day of Island Relaxation

Today is our last full day on the island, so after a few hours on the villa deck and around the pool, we decide that we are going to escape the hotel for dinner again today and head over to Sok San for a more local experience than the mainly western food that the hotel is offering.  We explored the options for getting us there but all roads led back to hiring Marigold again!  We could have her for a half day, which would enable us to explore the road to the south of the island and watch the sunset before heading back to Sok San for dinner.

With cocktails, dinner and the hire of the bike, we still spent less than we would have done on dinner at the hotel!  The sunset was particularly beautiful tonight and we stopped to take photos in a couple of places.  Dinner was taken with our toes in the sand again, watching the waves lap against the beach. 

Back to the hotel to return Marigold and then a few games of Backgammon before retiring early tonight.  We don’t have an early start tomorrow but I want to get a final swim in before we have to pack for an 11am departure from the island.
